I'm an old time DnD and MMORPG player. I still have my 1/2 size DnD books (Book1, Book 2, Book 3) in the 4th printing White Box set tucked away. My MMORPG days go back to Beta Ultima Online (I watched Lord British get flame striked and die during the beta...which wasn't supposed to happen... LOL! I can go even further back if you go to Wizardy 1-9 and the Gold Box SSI games.
I don't play PnP DnD anymore and the last set of books I bought were the Eberron Books...but didn't play any PnP games. I just got them for the interest in a new area...and DDO.
I love games and DDO is right up my alley. Was here for the original Alpha and Beta, and truth be told beta'd and played all of Turbine's games to date. I took a brief brake from all MMORPG games, but came back just before Mod 9. Lots of new stuff I missed...and lots of new stuff coming out! I can't see any other game that could possibly come out that would take me away from DDO.
Now that I am back, I'm having a blast remaking my characters, meeting new people ingame and exploring the vast improvements Turbine has made to the game I love. Ping me if you want to quest, I'm usually open for anything! And even though I said I'd never build a guild again... The Blackmoor Defenders are alive again and a close knit family.
I love Warforged characters. In fact, that is all I play. Everyone has opinions about Warforged, but I've been playing them since Beta 2006. Sure I've tried other races, but I just like the look, feeling and power they have. If you want to know more about the Warforged, I suggest you read the Warforged Primer.
If you prefer other types of Races or Classes, you should look at the Various Character Templates.
I recently deleted a lot of my old characters and remade them to start at level 4 (veteran status). So, I'll be leveling them up too eventually. Also, it gave me the chance to rebuild them as way back when... I either gimped them or had no real idea what I wanted to do with them. The "Veteran Status" ability opened a window to 'fix' my mistakes and move forward. All of which I list below for easy reference to see what level my characters are and which template (how I plan to level them up) as well.
